Welcome Elementary Families!

Meet the Team!

Emily Lipscombe
Elementary Co-Director
elipscombe@scaihs.org
Emily has served SCAIHS elementary families faithfully since joining our staff in June of 1994. After graduating from Columbia College with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education, she worked as a classroom teacher for 10 years. As a result of this experience, she brings with her an abundance of professional knowledge and wisdom which she continues to use to benefit hundreds of homeschool families every year. Emily, serving as an Elementary Co-Director, finds great joy working with these families of younger students! She is also a piano teacher, a church pianist, and a passionate musician.

Rebecca Evans
Elementary Counselor
revans@scaihs.org
Rebecca has over 28 years of experience in education. She taught elementary students in grades 1-5 for most of her years in the public school sector. She also served as a Reading Interventionist, Gifted and Talented Educator, and Assistant Principal during those years. Recently retired, her greatest joy is now homeschooling her high school daughter alongside her husband. She has been homeschooling her daughter for 4 years and loves seeing the growth and confidence that homeschooling has provided students of this age group. She also works part time with an Upstate hybrid homeschool so she sees daily the benefits of homeschool education. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, watching her daughter show horses almost every weekend and baking.
